What does BleuVista do?

BleuVista provides indoor location technology for businesses. We help organizations navigate people inside buildings, track assets in real time, respond to emergencies with location-aware alerts, and monitor environmental conditions -- all using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

What is BLE?

Bluetooth Low Energy is a power-efficient wireless standard designed for devices that need to communicate over short distances without draining batteries. It's the same technology used in fitness trackers and smart home devices. Read our BLE overview for more detail.

Why can't I just use GPS indoors?

GPS signals are too weak to penetrate building walls and ceilings reliably. BLE beacons are purpose-built for indoor environments, providing accuracy that GPS simply cannot deliver inside a building.

Do I need to install an app?

For indoor navigation, visitors access directions through a mobile web experience triggered by scanning a QR code -- no app store download required. For advanced features, a native app is available for iOS and Android.

What products do you offer?

We offer four core solutions that share a single BLE infrastructure:

How accurate is the indoor positioning?

With sufficient beacon density, our positioning achieves sub-meter accuracy. The more beacons in range, the more precise the location. In a typical deployment, three or more beacons in range enable precise trilateration.

How long do the beacon batteries last?

Up to 5 years on a standard coin-cell battery, depending on the broadcast interval and configuration. The system monitors battery levels and alerts you proactively when replacement is needed.

Can I use multiple solutions at the same time?

Yes. All four solutions run on the same gateway infrastructure. If you deploy gateways for tracking, adding navigation or alerting requires only additional beacons and configuration -- not new infrastructure.

Deployment & Integration

How long does a deployment take?

Most deployments are completed in days, not weeks. The timeline depends on facility size and the number of solutions being deployed. We handle site survey, beacon placement planning, and system configuration.

Is any wiring required?

Beacons and sensors are completely wireless and battery-powered. Gateways need power and a network connection (Ethernet or Wi-Fi). No construction or cabling work is needed.

Can BleuVista run on-premises?

Yes. The entire platform -- server, database, and dashboard -- can run on your own infrastructure. No data needs to leave your network. This is common in healthcare and government deployments.

Does it integrate with our existing systems?

BleuVista provides REST APIs, WebSocket streams, and a monitoring bridge for integration with your existing tools -- WMS, ERP, incident management, infrastructure monitoring, and more. See our Integration page.

What about setup costs?

Our hardware is designed for minimal setup. Beacons are plug-and-play, gateways require only power and network, and configuration is done through the web dashboard. We provide deployment support as part of every engagement.

Security & Privacy

Is the system secure?

Yes. All communication is encrypted. The server uses token-based authentication. Navigation tokens provide scoped, read-only access for visitors without requiring user accounts.

Do you track people?

No. BleuVista tracks devices -- beacons and tags -- not personal identifiers. The system does not require or store names, emails, or other personal information to function.

Where is my data stored?

On-premises deployments store everything locally. Hosted deployments use secure, dedicated infrastructure. We do not share, sell, or mine your data.
